The CCA continues to strive to enhance community spirit and fellowship, give back to the community in which we live, and bring opportunities for our neighbors to participate in activities that further the health and socialization of our residents.
We hope to see you at some of our events!

Cassie Community Association History
The Cassie Community Association (CCA) was the first volunteer organization and was founded in 1972 to provide essential community and social services for a newly established rural subdivision. Through hard work, cooperation, and careful planning, early residents helped bring paved roads, mail delivery, private phone lines, and the construction of a community center to the area.
As the subdivision grew, the CCA helped establish additional volunteer organizations to meet the community’s evolving needs. These included the Cassie Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) in 1972, the Ladies of the Lake in 1976, and the Cassie Property Owners Association (POA) in 1987.
The Ladies of the Lake organization provided women in the community with opportunities for fellowship, friendship, and programs exploring issues and topics of interest to women. This group is no longer an active group.
The Cassie Volunteer Fire Department continues to play a vital role by providing fire protection and emergency medical services. The department serves the communities of Cassie, The Willows, Buena Vista, Laguna Vista, Clear Creek, Suzanne, Granite Hills, Rocky Point, Rocky Ridge, The Emeralds, and Little Midland, as well as mutual aid to many other departments in Burnet and Llano Counties.
The Cassie POA was created to manage, maintain, and care for the association-owned parks, roads, and beach areas within the subdivision.
The CCA operates as a nonprofit organization under the Non-Profit Corporation Act of the State of Texas and relies entirely on Cassie Community Association membership dues and resident donations. The Cassie Community Association maintains the CCA Community Center for the use of local organizations and residents. Throughout the year, the CCA hosts and supports a variety of events designed to bring neighbors together and strengthen the sense of community.
CCA potluck dinners are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. Annual events include the Fourth of July Parade and Picnic, Trunk-or-Treat on the Saturday before Halloween, and other seasonal gatherings.
Regular activities at the Community Center currently include a monthly Book Club, Jam Session, and Bingo Night. Members are also encouraged to host potluck suppers and organize activities that promote fellowship, health, and social connection among residents of Cassie and the surrounding communities.

TOGETHER WE CAN CREATE A MORE HUMANE SOCIETY!
Our goal is to supply the Humane Society with enough items to help them prepare for the colder months.
Some of the items needed are goodies, kennels, blankets, bedding, and non clumping cat litter.
2023 Members donated a large cat house kennel, several collars, lots of kennels, blankets, and food.

During October and November, the Cassie community donates to Makari's Mission, and socks are collected at the Potlucks.
Makari will be donating the socks to the homeless this year.
In 2025 Cassie neighbors, again, helped sweet Makari go way past her goal!
Thank you to all who support this young lady's dream and mission.

During the months of November and December the Potluck participants, in our community, donate non-perishables to LACare Food Pantry in Burnet to help replenish their shelves.
Mission: Committed to improving lives through food assistance, nutrition education, and access to community services.
